Cycling along Scenic Gravel Roads
The countryside surrounding Torps Säteri is a paradise for cycling enthusiasts. Miles of peaceful gravel roads wind through rolling farmland, deep forests, past historic farms and picturesque lakes.
Pack a picnic and explore at your own pace. The area is ideal for gravel biking as well as leisurely cycling trips, where the journey itself is part of the experience.
Hiking and Discovering the Swedish Countryside
The surroundings of Torps Säteri are among the most beautiful cultural landscapes in Sörmland, with rolling fields, grazing meadows, ancient oak trees and peaceful forests.
In the local parish of Husby-Oppunda, several lovely hiking trails offer opportunities for both short walks and longer day hikes.
One particularly interesting destination is the Vadsjön wetland, a wonderful place for birdwatching. The area is home to a rich variety of birdlife, especially during spring and early summer.
In late summer and autumn, the surrounding forests are perfect for picking wild berries and mushrooms.

Fishing for Pike and Zander in Lake Långhalsen
Lake Långhalsen is well known for its excellent fishing, particularly for pike and zander (pike-perch).

A rowing boat is included in the rental, allowing you to explore the lake, discover quiet bays or simply enjoy a relaxing evening on the water.
For fishing enthusiasts, fishing permits and an outboard motor are available at an additional cost, making it easier to reach the lake's many fishing spots.
Whether you are an experienced angler or simply want to try fishing for the first time, Badstugan is a wonderful base for a few days by the water.

Lake Långhalsen forms part of a beautiful canoe route between Skebokvarn and Nyköping, passing through a varied landscape of lakes and waterways, including Lake Båven, Lake Lidsjön and the Husbyån River.

Badstugan is fully winterised and accommodates up to four guests. Although compact, the cottage is thoughtfully arranged, with a warm and welcoming atmosphere.
The cottage offers:

A kitchenette for preparing simple meals, including a microwave.
A sleeping loft with one large double bed and two separate single beds.
A tiled bathroom with shower, flushing toilet and underfloor heating.
A private, separate wood-fired sauna.
A terrace with outdoor furniture and barbecue.
A rowing boat included in the rental.

Please note: The staircase leading to the sleeping loft is fairly steep and may not be suitable for small children or guests with limited mobility.

Torps Säteri is situated in the heart of the beautiful Sörmland countryside, surrounded by historic manor houses, charming villages and peaceful nature.
The area offers plenty of opportunities to visit local farm shops, cosy cafés, castles, historic estates and other attractions.
If you would like to combine countryside relaxation with a little town life, Nyköping is only a short drive away, offering restaurants, shops and a lovely harbour area.
